The position of Director, Alta Marketing and People Development will be responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing, branding and campaign plans in cooperation with Alta senior managers
  • Develop plans to promote brand visibility and strength for Alta’s portfolio of corporate, program and service brands through promotional materials, editorial content, digital media, and internal communication
  • To lead the development of Alta Genetics’ learning platforms and programs for internal staff and external clients (Alta Learning Management System, Sales Staff Development Curriculum, AltaU, AltaDMS)
  • To support business growth and innovation through marketing and training plans that complement new products and service launches
  • Prepare annual department and staffing budgets and growth plans for the department, including performance management, coaching and personal development for the direct reports to this role
  • Leverage the incremental efficiencies and effectiveness from the URUS resources that aid in the achievement of Alta Genetics marketing and training objectives
  • Actively participate in the strategic direction and leadership with the Alta senior management team
  • Actively participate in the initiatives, projects and forums identified with the URUS executive team
  • Work actively together with URUS leaders to realize efficiencies and synergies without losing the specific brand focus within the Alta Genetics marketing and training activities and programs.
  • Provoke people to act through persuasive thought leadership relating to key elements of our hedgehog strategy (fertility, reproduction, genetic strategy and management)
  • Ignite the power of our field team with the consulting and reporting tools and skills that they use to distinguish themselves and deliver value to our clients
  • Inspire the young and experienced high performing and high potential talent to want to join our team
  • Challenge our sales leadership to be persuasive and inspiring leaders in their teams – to replicate and amplify the skill building and practice that our training program is set to deliver

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in roles with increasing complexity and responsibility
  • Experience in the development and deployment of learning activities for employees including facilitation and delivery of training material
  • Strong business acumen: Understands that business needs and opportunities drive learning and talent development initiatives
  • Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion
  • Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Delivers on deadlines and priorities as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
